How to take water ?
पानी कैसे पिये ?
Ayurveda is the ancient medicine science in which,every trivial information is given related to health.
Ayurveda teach us , rules related to taking water.
With out following rules related to taking water, can invite some harmful and chronicle disease like diabetes,blood pressure and digestion related problem.
Rules are taking water is very simple .
1.Begin your day with one liter luke water or water that is kept in copper metal pot.
2.Maintain at least one hour gap before taking meal.
3.Take water after 1.5 hour gap after taking meal.
4.Always sip water in very small quantity, galloping of water is not recommended.
As per given reference as source, human body always make alkaline and acid for proper functioning of digestive system.Acidic property is found in stomach while alkaline property is very high in mouth.
Explanation of rule 1 is alkaline medicine property is very high saliva produced mouth in morning.In medical terminology ph value is below than 7 while acidic property very high or ph value is more than 7, in stomach.
So as we are sipping water in small quantity ph value try to be neutral and acidity of stomach pacify.
Explanation of Rule 2,Ayurveda says that whenever you feel hungry fire ignite in stomach(more accurately gut in place of stomach )('जब भ़ूख लगती है तो जठर में अग्नि प्रज्वलित होती है'). As you taking food , this fire burn food in very small pieces like pulp or mesh.This mesh secretes liquids (रॅस) after 1.5 hours that helpful to produce energy for all external/internal organs.If gap maintain during meal, than food digest otherwise become stale and produce gas and gas related problem.Water is helpful after 1.5 hours to produce and secretes liquids (रॅस).
While one can take water during meal in unfavorable circumstance or maintains gap between different type of food or for clearing throat, but not more than one or two sip.
Explanation of rule 3,as we already discussed acidic property is found in stomach while alkaline property is very high in mouth.If we are sipping water in small quantity, much more saliva (alkaline property) with water reach out in stomach and we are able to maintain neutral condition of stomach.
